Your Amazing Promises

Calvin Kochi

Scripture

2All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

3You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

4The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

5Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

6You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

Observation

The blessings of the Lord are amazing. The Lord would provide everything that you would want or need, and no matter where you went his blessings would follow. The Lord would open the heavens, and the storehouse of his bounty to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. Who in their right mind would not what the Lord to bless us!

Application

Gods Word has so many promises for us, and there is nothing more that God would Love to do than to bless us. Yet there is our part of living a blessed life, and that is to obey the Lord your God. The hardest part of living the life that brings Gods blessings is the choices that we make in following Gods laws and decrees. All to often when it comes to obedience we think that God is a mean and harsh God, and we see the law as taking away our rights and freedoms.

What I’ve found out that God is a Loving God and does want the best for us. I know that partnering with the Lord, and staying in my devotion is an important of being obedient. How will I know what to follow if I don’t do my part!

Prayer

Thank you for all of Your amazing promises. Help me as continue to learn what is to be a son that walks in obedience with a Heavenly Father. Help me when I am disciplined or in need to discipline it so easy to want to continue in doing it my way, or in rebellion.
