Confused yet CONVINCED!

Rod Shimabukuro

Scripture

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:33-36

Observation

This passage means so much more to me having read through chapters 7-11. There is such a struggle between God’s grace and faith with the law and order of God. The predestined plan of God and the freedom to choose salvation. The mercy and judgment of God in light of His character of unsurpassing love.

Application

The struggle live in me as I wrestle with what I believe about God and how He acts and responds to human kind. Does He full predestine and choose His very own - or does He allow a freedom to choose Him based on freewill? Or is there a balance somewhere in between the chasm of predestination and freedom to choose your relationship and destiny with Jesus? THIS IS WHERE V 33-36 COMES ALIVE IN MY HEART!

I feel confused at times, but fully convinced - that Jesus is King and God! Wherever I land in what I believe involving my struggle - I know this... He chose me and I chose Him. To Him be the glory forever!! So how will I be or live differently today? It’s simple. I find myself THANKING GOD - THE FATHER, JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT... humbled, overwhelmed, devastated by the love and presence of God in my heart and life!

Prayer

I choose You God!
I love You Lord!
I thank You King!
I worship and fear You - Daddie God!
